The Vulcan lands in front of a rapturous crowd

The last flying Vulcan will feature prominently in a new documentary to be shown on BBC One on Sunday evenings. 'Britain's Hidden Heritage' explores fascinating projects that typify British endeavour and achievement. Journalist John Sergeant visited XH558's new home at Robin Hood Airport near Doncaster and flew beside the aircraft with the Blades aerobatics team, fulfilling what he called 'a childhood dream'. 

The Vulcan is featured in the first programme of the series, which will be broadcast at 19:00hrs this Sunday 14th August.
