The
current edition, August 2008, has lots to
interest Standard Enthusiasts, amongst its 82 pages.
There
is a 4 page Buyers Guide to the Vanguard I and II
in colour, by Kim Henson.
Next
is an article on wartime and tractor production at Banner
Lane, again a four page article, this time by Paul
Richardson.
Lastly,
Rob Marshall contributes another 2 colour pages in
an article about your favourite Club, the Standard
Motor Club. The article correctly describes all
postwar Triumphs as being built by the Standard
Motor Company, something that many Triumph aficionados
would prefer to airbrush from history. They seem
to think that Triumphs were built by some
fictitious body called the Triumph Motor Company,
where a glance at their commission plate would
reveal the truth.
