We were pleased to welcome West Midlands MEP, Malcolm Harbour and his wife Penny to our International Rally at Stratford Manor Hotel, They must have enjoyed it so much that they came on both days. Not only did they attend the Saturday evening dinner, when Malcolm was the after dinner speaker,  but they both returned on Sunday to view the cars in the Static Rally, and to meet their owners. His Mini Moke became an impromptu addition to our "Open Class".

Malcolm subsequently wrote to the Chairman as follows:

Thank you very much for inviting us to the Standard Motor Club's Annual Meeting. We really enjoyed our time with you and thank you for making us so welcome. It was a real pleasure to meet so many interesting people and to share the history of their cars. It was also a great opportunity to give the Moke an outing.
