The Standard Motor Club stand at the Birdingbury

part.
Peter was displaying his Vanguard estate and
his 8. Harry Asheton Smith came with his Vanguard estate & his
caravan and was os site to act as guardian to any cars left overnight.
David Mileham brought his 12 & his grandson Paddy. Mark Rowland had
his lovely 1936 10 & his wfe & two little boys joined us on the
Saturday. Alan & Brenda Lewis brought their tent &
their 10 stayed at Birdingbury. Steve Brooks was there with his
Companion. We had our Flying 9. Malcolm Graham was there with his 10. On the Sunday Brian Birch arrived in his Vanguard , Dot & Ivan Hancox with their flying heavy 12, and Steve O'Hara in his Teignmouth. As Paul Newsome came along on the Sunday Peter asked him to judge the cars present for the West Midaland trophies. John Maxwell won the best pre-war, Brian Birch the best pre-war and the best 8,10 or pennant award was won by Peter Lockley. We all enjoyed looking at the steam traction engines, stationery engines, classic cars, commercial vehicles, motorbikes, all the stalls on offer. Birdingbury always manages to be a friendly event & we enjoy going along. Report and Photos by John Maxwell West Midlands Group Below: Another view of the stand at Birdingbury
