The Magnin's recently restored Vanguard

"A Nous Les Vieilles Anglaises" is a French car club in Lyon Where all old English car enthusiasts meet.

On 17th and 18th of April 2010 took place the WRC (Welcome Road Club).

A rally through the Ardèche and Haute-Loire landscapes. This year, the theme of the rally was “England”.

What is this strange car ? Now, everybody in the club knows! This old english car with a real roof is a Vanguard !	A long series of turns and turns and turns across mountains and valleys… Crossing rivers on old bridges and climbing again…	…Until we see a lady with a big Union-Jack along the road.

Then it’s time for silly games: Trying to go backward with socks covering the mirrors. You’re not allowed to turn your head. You just have to listen to what your partner tells you.	Run three turns around your car counterclockwise. Your copilot must turn clockwise…	If you don’t like the games, people who organized them have their photos on the boxes…

Fortunately, the theme was England, so we did have a tea break at 5 o’clock:

In fact, it was a really nice week-end. We met many new friends

And our Vanguard was just great all along the 511 Km.
