The
First Annual Standard Rally
The
first rally for Standard cars was held at the factory on September 3rd
1960. A full report on it appeared in the Standard Car Review and is
reproduced below. You may find it difficult to read the scanned text,

The
Standard Motor Club keeps this Annual institution alive, this year
will be the 50th gathering in an unbroken series and takes place at the Royal Agricultural
College at Cirencester.
Already,
over 80 cars have entered including some of the cars that were at the
first Rally, still on the road despite being 50 years older. We are
planning for 120 cars entered by the weekend. Nick Black, youngest son
of Sir John Black will be presenting the prizes.

are also very welcome to view the cars, and meet their owners. Just turn up on Sunday 28th
June. If you only come to one Standard event this year, make it this
one!
