Wednesday of the month at North Wales Group - New Events for 2010. The North Wales Group are adding three further club events to their calendar and would like to see as many Standard owners join them you are all most welcome. All three are premier events drawing in large entries and spectators. To give members a flavour of what is on offer at these events please find below a brief description. NEW FOR 2010 17/18th July 2010 CLUB STAND The PAGEANT OF POWER Cholmonderley Castle, Cheshire Taking place in the glorious grounds of Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire within easy reach of the North West, North Wales and the Midlands. The Pageant combines speed, nerve and flair with exceptional design and engineering. Since 2007 it has been the ambition of the Pageant of Power to showcase the best of historic and contemporary automotive power, whether on Land, Sea or Air. Central to the action is the 3 mile circuit within the Park grounds of Cholmondeley Castle where over 150 cars and bikes compete, spanning seven decades of motorsports. On the adjoining Deer Park Mere, the Pageant hosts the largest gathering of inshore racing power boats in the UK, World Champion Jet Ski Demonstrations and Rib rides are also on offer! NEW FOR 2010 30th August 2010 CLUB STAND OULTON PARK GOLD CUP, Oulton Park, Cheshire Relive the golden days of motor racing
as the Historic Sports Car Club visits Oulton Park on August bank
holiday. The Oulton Park Gold Cup is Cheshires premier historic
racing event, attracting over 400 classic sports cars, saloon cars and
single seaters each year. Racing highlights include the Derek Bell
Trophy for Formula 2 and F5000 cars of the 1960s and 70s, and the
Guards Trophy for 1960s GT and Sports Racing cars. For further

NEW FOR 2010. 12th September 2010 CLUB GATHERING MALPAS STEAM FAIR, Malpas, Cheshire The first Malpas Yesteryear Rally was held in 1972 and is now held annually on the second weekend after the August Bank Holiday. The show site can be found at Hampton, Malpas, Cheshire. Alongside the A41, fourteen miles south of Chester, six miles north of Whitchurch, Shropshire. Post Code SY14 8JN. The event boasts thousands of exhibits including 30 Steam Engines, 120 Commercial Vehicles, 70 Military Vehicles, 120 Cars, 150 Tractors, 100 Motorcycles, heavy horses and much more.
