Customised
Vanguard Pickup Feature
I know Vanguard
enthusiasts don't like this sort of thing, but lets face it, here
is another Vanguard that has been saved and will be enjoyed by its
owner.
And, who knows, this
might be the only surviving Vanguard in the Yukon! Unless you know
better?

Hi Phil,
I'm Bowzer from Whitehorse,
Yukon. I'm restoring a 48 pick-up. Unfortunately
due to human destruction and metal erosion this one
here became a hotrod project - with performance parts
and custom looks while still maintaining that
nostalgic beauty.
Nearly finished but I
still can't locate outside door handles (with
key) if possible or the standard hood badges. If
you happen to know how I might obtain
these parts could you please send any info.
I'm also wondering if there is a remanufacturing
company or such reproducing any weather striping for
door window and front glass.
Thanks Phil - bye for now

It
appears to be a Phase 1 Pichup, judging by the remains of
the original radiator shape

It seems
necessary to remove the floor and cut the cab in half? |

A

I can see
how fast I'm going but how do I steer it? |

Does my
bum look big in this? |
