Sun-damaged
Standard 10 saved near Brisbane, Australia
Have
been flat out but have now started the resto on the Standard.
My 7 year old (Zeke) is keen and is learning all about old cars.
Here is a picture of us getting all the chrome off. Next
is glass and doors. I will get the body sandbalsted and
anew floor welded in the front. The motor goes fine so
will leave alone, but am looking to pull it out with gearbox on
just to do a good job of the engine and bay. It is
currently where my daily driver parks but is going into the big
shed soon. I am looking to sell a 42 jeep and that will
make some room.

I am pleased that this has become
a "Father and Son" restoration. I believe the colour is
"Shoal Green". See another car in this colour here
Below
are some pictures and text that Clinton sent earlier:
Hi there,
I thought you might be
interested in a Standard 10 which I have recently bought
with a view to restore. I am in Brisabne Australia.
The car has 45K miles on it and is in pretty good shape. It
is a "10" but has no boot. Some one has said this was
called a "family". Still finding out about this. Anyone know what the color is ? Anyway still learning about
them. I thought this may be of interest to UK people because
of the various differences in the badging etc. Of note is
the original flying kangaroo bonnet ornament. Hope this makes it
to your web site.

Thanks Clinton, for
letting us see this highly original car. I hope to see photos of it
when it is finished. Best of luck with it and regards.
