1905 Standard Landau

This closed coach configuration is described as a Landau

These two illustrations have recently come into my possession and represent the oldest Standard model that I have featured on this website so far. Unfortunately, I have had to spoil them to prevent further copying.

Both are clearly the same car:

At the top it it is described as a 1905 16-20Hp Landau. Below, it is captioned as a Standard 3 cylinder Motor Brougham.

The DU series of registrations were issued from 1903

This model predates the earliest surviving Standard, registered SMC1 and dating from 1907. If anyone knows the technical specification of these cars, I will print them here.
